Jake has been creating theatre since his teen years, and his passion for it has been growing since. He has seen theatre’s power to inspire change, shift perspectives, teach audiences, or offer an escape from the craziness of the world. This power needs to keep growing, and Jake is excited to do his part through this work. Now a graduate of Musical Theatre at Ithaca College in upstate New York, Jake has developed a deep love for all aspects of the art. From rehearsal to performance, he thrives on the energy of the room. Whether he’s acting, singing, or moving strongly (give me a week... I’ll show you!) Jake loves the challenge of working with dynamic and conniving characters alike. He’s excited to work with his range, tell great, meaningful stories, and have fun.

Jake’s recent role as Hakan in Let the Right One In gave him the chance to dive into a complex antagonist, exploring the deep struggles some of us face as humans. He’s also loved working on comedies like Urinetown, Twelfth Night the Musical, and Into the Woods, exploring his versatility and ability to bring both humor and depth to the work.

 

While at Ithaca, he began to expand his skills as a director, shaping an artistic vision and preparing for the next step in his career. He looks forward to the new opportunities this path may show him. Jake plans to move to New York City, where he will continue to pursue his acting, directing, and writing aspirations and keep working to create theatre that challenges, entertains, and inspires.
