Jake Jervis is a senior Musical Theatre major at Ithaca College in upstate New York. There he’s found a love in all aspects of theatre. He loves the stage and has fun from rehearsal to performance. He acts and sings with solid movement (give me a week I'll show you!) He loves to work with his range to give dynamic performances with dynamic characters, but his work is varied and he can work in all aspects of a production. He is excited to make his eventual move to NYC, where he'll continue to pursue his acting, directing, and writing aspirations. At Ithaca, he recently played Hakan in Let the Right One In, a challenging antagonist with a complex character that let him explore the deep struggles we have as people. He's loved working on comedy musicals like Urinetown, Twelfth Night the Musical, and Into the Woods. In school, he's begun to develop his skills in directing, making him excited to explore more of that field in the future. Making theatre has been his favorite thing to do since childhood and he has continued nonstop ever since. He believes it has the power to influence real change, from new perspectives, teaching audiences more, or entertainment to take away from the world's current state and that power needs to continue to grow through our work.
